Teri was wonderfully supportive across our entire wedding planning process.
As a teacher, I have always felt organised (and sometimes stubborn) with planning, so having Teri as a soundboard and wedding planner was exactly what I needed. Whenever there was a problem to solve, or a gap in the planning process, Teri thought of everything to make sure our wedding day was going to be a complete success.
Teri sat down with me on more than one occasion to check on how things were tracking for the wedding, and how best she could help out. She was extremely calm, kind and thoughtful, never making me feel like my ideas were silly or unimportant. If anything, she wanted to make sure our dreams became a reality. We covered many things from flowers, to decor, to dress shopping, to groom attire, to even personal challenges with my family. Teri always had the bride (and grooms) needs at the center.
Teri was pivotal in my dress choosing process, she actually attended many dress trials. She listened as I discussed the pros and cons of each dress, and even took photos so I could compare later on once the adrenaline wore off. The dress trying on process is really intense, so having Teri to help with a balanced perspective was great. You often forget what each dress looks like, or even what you say when you are weighing up your options so it was really helpful to have this to look at later.
Teri helped me feel more empowered with family challenges. I had issues with family trying to invite themselves to my wedding, making decisions for me, or even arguing over my wedding behind my back. So just being able to discuss this with Teri and talk through our issues was amazing. She was really supportive and understanding, and never made me feel judged. She was solution focused, and helped with making a plan forward so that I felt more in control. An unbiased perspective about family is needed with wedding planning, and Teri was exactly that.
In the lead up to the wedding (day before/day of) Teri was my go to. She stepped into the role of wedding planner cleanly. She liaised with my venue for me, vetted any problems they had, and helped with my dream vision becoming a reality. She was there for me during the set up of the venue (super stressful time for a bride) and got on with any job needed. During the morning of the wedding, she went back to the venue many times to make sure everything was set up as it should be, and sent me progress photos to ease my stress. Teri collected items from multiple vendors for me and made sure they made it to the correct places, and then she even visited the groom/bride the morning of the wedding to make sure things were running smoothly. She was constantly checking in, making sure things were running well so that the bride and groom could relax.
Come the morning of the wedding, I was super nervous and I was actually feeling really sick. Teri was again amazing at multitasking, not only was she keeping to the time with schedule/running errands, but she also brought me over a care package full of almost anything I would need to survive the sickness on my wedding day. She came in, pulled me aside for a quiet moment, and checked that I was ok. A calming presence and moment of peace was exactly what I needed.
Teri was beyond amazing and I am forever grateful to her for being such a “rock” of support during the planning process, and leading up to the day of the wedding. Her commitment to the bride and planning process was beyond what I ever expected and she is a total asset to any bride that looks to sign her on as their wedding planner.12
